HR Generalist
Pasadena, CA Temporary $26.00 - $28.00/hr Onsite

Job Description

Established organization is seeking an HR Generalist with payroll processing experience on a temporary basis in the greater Pasadena, CA area. Pay ranges from $26-28/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and administer payroll accurately and on schedule, including timekeeping, deductions, bonuses, and corrections
  • Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll, benefits, and HR-related inquiries in both English and Spanish
  • Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and personnel file maintenance
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee education
  • Partner with managers to address employee relations issues and provide HR guidance
  • Maintain HRIS data, reports, and personnel records with strict confidentiality
  • Support performance management, disciplinary actions, and compliance documentation
  • Assist with audits, policy updates, and HR projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (required)
  • 2+ years of HR Generalist experience, including payroll processing
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems
  • Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of discretion and attention to detail
